Located in Dover Heights, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the iconic sandstone cliffs. Our newly completed duplex project showcases the remarkable transformation of a pair of mid-century brick semis into two spacious family homes with generous room to grow. Originally a single-storey dwelling, the building has been transformed into a spacious, three-level duplex, creating two beautifully crafted homes. Each dwelling spans three levels, offering 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and generous outdoor living spaces.
Working closely with the creative architectural team at Nadine Nakesh Design, the project focused on maximising the northerly aspect of both homes, flooding the living rooms and main bedrooms with natural light while capturing breathtaking coastal views. Protected balconies extend the interiors outward, providing shelter from the exposed cliffside and creating seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces.
The central staircases, which connect all three levels, allow light to cascade from above, brightening the south-facing living and entertaining zones. To integrate the homes with their coastal surroundings, we used travertine floors throughout both the indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a sense of calm and continuity.
Construction on this site came with its challenges. The steep terrain and limited access meant we had to rely on cranes and conveyor belts to transport materials to the higher floors. However, the Pamment Projects team rose to the occasion, and the finished duplex is a testament to their hard work and meticulous planning.
